There may not be life after death, but there is life after Adventism.
Amy and I talk about miracle stories, read some of yours, and our friends discuss religion and dinosaurs (you know you wanted more dinosaurs).
Check out this episode!
The recording kinda cut off mid sentence... what happened?
We should probably have faded out. I don't think you missed anything, we just stopped awkwardly. :)
Hey, this is Abby (I edit the episodes). If the episode cut off during the main section, your podcatcher probably had a download error, and you didn't get the whole thing. This happens to all podcatchers occasionally. Try re-downloading. If you're talking about the after-party (the section after the outro music) - that does end kind of abruptly. I did actually fade it out, but those are always snippets of party conversation, not organized interviews, and the recorder can get turned on and off randomly. Sorry you were confused. I hope that helps!
I used to live in constant fear of the fulfillment of Early Writings page 87 where EGW says that the spirit of devils may appear to us as our deceased relatives and friends and try to convince us that the Sabbath was really Sunday. For some reason I used to have this fear when I was taking a shower. I guess I felt particularly vulnerable to this evil manifestation in a place like my shower where I would be cornered and couldn't run. I can remember looking out the shower curtain every few seconds just in case my friend who I had recently lost to liver disease would appear. I would always reason to myself that Satan couldn't use him though because he was on God's side when he died so God wouldn't allow his body to be used like that; but every time someone I knew passed away they would be added to this list of people who could potentially catch me showering and sway me to keep Sunday. I even had my defense phrase down just in case: "get behind me Satan in the name of Jesus" was would I was prepared to rebuke the spirits with. Also I was super afraid of sleeping in a dark room with the door closed for fear that Ellen White would be rocking away in a rocking chair in the corner of the room. I could go on for days about my SDA superstitions but those are just a couple. ~JJ
